“With subrogation you handle a wide variety of cases, including (but certainly not limited to) products liability, construction defect, inverse condemnation, negligent service or maintenance. . .and the list goes on. Coupled with the wide geographic scope of our firm’s subrogation practice (all 50 states plus many other countries), I see something new almost every day.”
Jeffrey Learned has practiced law since 1985. Having a strong background in appellate litigation, Mr. Learned heads Denenberg Tuffley's Appellate Practice Group. He has litigated well over 100 appeals in state and federal courts across the country, enjoying great success (including reversals in over 60% of the cases in which he represented the appealing party—approximately 4 times the average national reversal rate).
In addition, Mr. Learned has extensive experience litigating (and otherwise addressing) property and liability coverage issues. These include pollution exclusions, ordinance or law coverage provisions (or exclusions), trigger of coverage issues, additional collapse coverage, fraud or false swearing, and bad faith.
Finally, Mr. Learned is involved in litigating many large-loss subrogation matters. In this regard, he oversees Denenberg Tuffley acting as regional subrogation counsel for one of the largest group of insurance companies in the United States.
“I love spending time with my family, which includes keeping up with a guitarist, classical piano and rock keyboard player, tennis player and a golfer—all rolled into one 15-year old. I also enjoy going to the movies, golfing, playing tennis, and in the Fall my favorite hobby—fantasy football.”
