Pamela Gelman began practicing law in 1982. She started her legal career as a prosecutor in the Los Angeles district Attorney’s Office where she spent six of her eighteen years handling white-collar crimes in the office’s Major Fraud Division. Ms. Gelman was also instrumental in starting the Auto Insurance Fraud, Workers Compensation, and Arson divisions. She supervised numerous investigations and tried nearly 100 jury trials, most of which were felony cases.
After leaving the DA’s office, Ms. Gelman concentrated her practice in commercial litigation, including subrogation. She was involved in many California Wildfires cases involving utilities and communication companies, and gained extensive experience in governmental takings under the California Constitution.
Ms. Gelman retired April 1, 2013, although she remains of Counsel to the firm.
“My husband and I are golfers and enjoy traveling with our sticks. We are also avid movie goers. We have six granddaughters, and they take up a lot of our time—during soccer season, I am at the field every weekend. For many years I have been involved with and supported the National Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the National MS Society.”
