Jeffrey R. Learned
Partner
I first met Jeff well over 30 years ago when I tried a case in federal court where he was the clerk for the judge. Not only is he our Managing Partner but the firm principal appellate attorney. In my 50 plus years of practice, I never met an attorney who is as gifted a writer. His organizational skills are truly amazing.
Jeff is a modern day Merlin. If you want knowledgeable insight as to how to approach a case, coupled with the common sense experience he gained while working with a Federal Judge, he is a great sounding board. This was especially useful in our [DOREL] case when he authored numerous successful oppositions to defense motions that attempted to either have the case dismissed, or have the damages severely limited.

I have been happily married to JaNele Jordan for over 20 years. We have one child (Ryan) who is a percussion performance major at the Michigan State University School of Music.
I enjoy going to the movies — both “serious” films and action/adventure flicks. I collected comic books as a kid, so you can pretty much guess the type of action movies I see! I also like watching a few (according to my family) bad television shows, along with televised football and baseball games. When the opportunity arises I also like to attend live theater performances and concerts.
With regard to sports, I play tennis and golf, and get additional exercise walking the family dog (a Daisy Dog named Shasta). My one hobby (my wife would call it a passion) is Fantasy Football.
I can juggle (only three balls though – I am a lightweight in that regard), and I can get a little crazy on a dance floor.
