Todd B. Denenberg
Partner
I have worked with Todd for over 25 years. His innate ability to see recovery potential in a difficult subrogation case (where nobody else does) — and then do what it takes to obtain that recovery — never ceases to amaze me. For example, in the Smithfield Foods matter, many of the involved insurers (and other counsel) saw no recovery potential against the government for a massive fire caused by an ex-marine who stole (and negligently set off) a military grade flare. Todd did, and after several years of litigation (and a subsequent settlement regarding liability) significant recovery is assured.
Todd combines innovation with a vigorous approach to pursuing cases. His enthusiasm and optimism become contagious and he is able to obtain recovery where others may just throw their hands up. Nowhere was this more prevalent than in [Smithfield] where he took a case that other firms turned down and obtained a favorable result for his clients.

I try to live my life outside of work under the motto, ‘Life is short and there are no do-overs.’ I enjoy cooking, sharing a good bottle of wine with friends and family, boating in the summer, and working out at the gym for stress-relief.
I love working in my garden.
