Professional Background

Mr. Malinowski has been practicing law since 2014 and concentrates his practice in the areas of complex property and energy subrogation matters, with vast experience in the state of Texas.

As counsel for plaintiffs, Mr. Malinowski has worked on numerous large catastrophe (CAT) losses and has obtained millions of dollars in subrogation recoveries for Denenberg Tuffley’s clients related to negligent construction, product liabilities, and maritime negligence discovered on the heels of a CAT event. He has experience navigating the complexities of both state and federal multi-district litigation matters, effectively collaborating and litigating with all involved parties, and maximizing the recoveries obtained for Denenberg Tuffley’s clients.

Mr. Malinowski handles energy subrogation matters both onshore and offshore, for all sectors including oil, natural gas, coal, wind, solar, geothermal, and hydropower. In addition, he handles property subrogation matters and pursuit of recoveries emanating from negligence, construction defect, breach of contract, and products liability.

Married in 2016 to the love of my life, Ashley. We then added a 110# Newfoundland puppy, Cece, to the family in 2017. Ashley and I became proud parents with the birth of our beautiful daughter Giovanna in 2021.

Interests:

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and love being outdoors as much as possible during Michigan’s beautiful summers, where you can find me either golfing, grilling, going to the lake, going up north, or just relaxing in the sun. During football season, you will find me wearing maize and blue as a proud alumnus, and watching or attending Michigan Football Games. Go Blue!

You’d Never Guess:

That I have a picture with my arm around President George W. Bush. President Bush spoke at the Detroit Economic Club in 2005. I, along with some classmates, were chosen to represent the Livonia Public School district and meet with the President before his remarks to the Club.

When I asked him if I could put my arm around him for the group photo, he responded “Sure, just like old buds.” Regardless of political affiliations, meeting a sitting President of the United States was a great honor, and one of my favorite memories
